Our Working Principles
Legal services are not a promise of an outcome; they are the management of a process. We therefore base our way of working on the following principles:
- Time limits come first. Time limits for bringing actions, filing objections and using legal remedies are identified at the first review of the file and entered in the calendar.
- Transparent information. The stage the file has reached, what the next step is and the anticipated cost items are shared with the client in writing.
- Realistic assessment. The strengths and weaknesses of the file are discussed openly from the outset; no commitment is made regarding the outcome.
- Confidentiality. Information that clients pass on to us is protected within the framework of the lawyer's duty of confidentiality.
- Independence. Legal opinions are formed without being subject to any influence other than the client's interests and the rules of law.
In Which Areas Do We Work?
Our firm conducts litigation and provides legal advice in the fields of Criminal Law, IT and Internet Law, Real Estate and Tenancy Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Employment Law, Family Law, Inheritance Law, Immigration and Citizenship Law, Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments, Constitutional Court and ECtHR Applications, Enforcement and Insolvency Law, Intellectual Property Law and Tax Law. On the page for each area, you will find how the process works, which authorities are involved and answers to frequently asked questions.
In Which Regions Do We Handle Cases?
Lawyers may act before courts and administrative authorities anywhere in Turkey, regardless of the bar association with which they are registered. A significant proportion of the cases handled by our firm are concentrated in three regions:
- Istanbul's Anatolian side: the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse in Kartal and the Istanbul Regional Court of Appeal
- Kocaeli: the Kocaeli Courthouse and the Gebze Courthouse; for appeals (istinaf) in this judicial district, the Sakarya Regional Court of Appeal
- Sakarya: the Sakarya Courthouse and the district courthouses, and the Sakarya Regional Court of Appeal
Recognition and enforcement cases of clients living abroad are conducted before the Istanbul courts.
