About Süha Hukuk & Danışmanlık
Süha Hukuk & Danışmanlık is a law firm founded in 2021 by Att. Şeyma Nur Bulut Karakulle and based at Business İstanbul Plaza in Merdivenköy, Kadıköy. The firm conducts litigation and provides legal advice to individuals, families and companies in the fields of criminal law, IT law, real estate and tenancy law, corporate and commercial law, employment law, family and inheritance law, immigration and citizenship law, and enforcement and insolvency law.
Legal services are not a promise of a particular outcome; they are the management of a process. Our way of working therefore rests on three principles: reading the file correctly from the outset, never missing a statutory time limit, and making sure that the client knows at every stage what is being done and why.
In Which Regions Do We Handle Cases?
Although our office is located on Istanbul's Anatolian (Asian) side, lawyers may act before courts and administrative authorities anywhere in Turkey. A significant proportion of the cases we handle are heard before the judicial authorities of Istanbul's Anatolian side, Kocaeli and Sakarya. Each region differs in the structure of its courthouses, the court that hears appeals (istinaf) and the types of dispute that most commonly arise.
Istanbul's Anatolian Side
Disputes arising in districts such as Kadıköy, Ataşehir, Üsküdar, Maltepe and Kartal are, as a rule, heard at the Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse in Kartal. Appeals against the decisions of these courts are lodged with the Istanbul Regional Court of Appeal. Disputes over construction contracts in exchange for apartments arising from urban transformation, tenancy relationships, commercial contracts and criminal investigations are among the types of case most frequently encountered in the region.
Kocaeli and Gebze
In cases heard at the Kocaeli Courthouse, based in İzmit, and at the Gebze Courthouse, the concentration of industry in the region means that employment relationships, occupational accidents, supply and dealership agreements and disputes over commercial receivables are prominent. Appeals against the decisions of these courts are lodged with the Sakarya Regional Court of Appeal.
Sakarya
In cases heard at the Sakarya Courthouse in Adapazarı and at the district courthouses, the prominent issues are co-owned immovable property passed down through inheritance, partition of co-owned property, employment and commercial relationships in organised industrial zones, and criminal proceedings. Appellate review is carried out by the Sakarya Regional Court of Appeal.

How Does a Case Progress at Our Firm?
- Initial meeting. We listen to the chronology of events and ask for any notifications you have received, contracts, title deed records or case documents.
- Review of documents and time limits. The time limits for bringing an action, filing an objection and pursuing legal remedies, as well as limitation periods, are identified at the very first stage. In many disputes, a time limit decides the outcome before the merits of the case are even reached.
- Roadmap. Options such as litigation, mediation, a formal notice served through a notary (ihtarname) or enforcement proceedings are shared with the client, together with their estimated duration and cost items.
- Monitoring the process. The file is monitored via UYAP; hearings, court-appointed expert reports and interim decisions are reported to the client at every stage.
- After the decision. The reasoning of the decision is assessed, and together with the client we decide whether to use remedies such as an appeal, an appeal on points of law or an individual application within the applicable time limits.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Lawyers may act before courts anywhere in Turkey, regardless of the province of the bar association with which they are registered. Cases at the Kocaeli, Gebze and Sakarya courthouses are monitored via UYAP, and hearings are attended in person.
The notifications you have received, case or investigation documents, contracts, title deed records and correspondence are sufficient for an initial assessment. In particular, the date on which documents were served on you (tebliğ) is important for calculating time limits.
The duration depends on the type of dispute, the court's workload, any examination by a court-appointed expert and whether legal remedies are pursued. For this reason, no definite duration is promised; at the first meeting, you are informed of the stages the case will go through and the usual duration of each stage.
Yes. Many cases can be conducted through a lawyer on the basis of a power of attorney drawn up at a Turkish consulate, or before a foreign notary and bearing an apostille. Actions for the recognition in Turkey of divorce judgments and other judgments given abroad can be brought before the Istanbul courts if the parties have no domicile in Turkey.
Companies whose capital is below the new minimum amounts must increase it by 31 December 2026 to TRY 250,000 for joint-stock companies, TRY 50,000 for limited liability companies and TRY 500,000 for non-public joint-stock companies under the authorised capital system. Companies that do not increase their capital within this period are deemed to have been dissolved by operation of law (provisional art. 15 of the Turkish Commercial Code (TTK)).
